However, the conversation with the guards was interrupted by Kaiawu who appeared more friendly than his fellow tribesmen and after a brief conversation used his influence and ordered the guards to let the General pass even though the Alyani's faith and law demanded avoiding contact with the outsiders.Īfter conversing with other villagers and restocking the supplies the General met with Kaiawu once again and the latter explained that the village is not only affected by plague but also besieged by a large group of bandits who had cut the Alyani off from their hunting grounds.
